NVR 50/50 Club

The NVR 5050 Club is an opportunity for members and supporters of Nene Valley Railway to win cash prizes whilst supporting our Fund Raising Activities – in particular helping us raise valuable funds for restoration of the Barnwell Building.

It is quite simple – for every £1 stake purchased 50% of the stake goes to the monthly prize draw and 50% goes towards the fund raising.  All participants can select how much they wish to invest – it can be as little as £1 per month or however much you may wish to invest.

To take part – please collect a 5050 leaflet from any of the stations – complete the download form and return the form and we will do the rest. You will receive a letter informing you of your stake line numbers and each month the winners will be announced on all our forms of media

Each month three prizes are awarded with the first prize receiving 25% of the pot, 2nd prize receives 15% and 3rd prize receives 10%. The more people who invest in the stakes the larger the pot and very importantly the larger the contribution to that valuable fund raising!

The Barnwell Building

Our current fundraising project is to restore our historic Barnwell Building (the waiting room and station master’s office) to provide an area that can be used by our visitors in inclement weather.
It was built in 1884 and members of the Royal Family, including Queen Victoria, would use it when visiting their home at Barnwell Manor.
It was moved from Barnwell to its present home at Nene Valley Railway in 1977.
We need £40,000 to repair it.
Your support of the 50/50 Club will help us to raise this amount.
Future projects to benefit from the 50/50 Club will include renovation of the toilets and a new water tank at Wansford.
Why not join in – whilst providing valuable support to such a worthy cause.
