As part of our 40th Anniversary Celebrations we are pleased to announce that on 1st June 2017 Ferry Meadows Station was officially re named as Overton, the naming ceremony was attend by Queens
representative  'Deputy Lieutenant' Also attended by Mayor & Mayoress of Peterborough, Deputy Mayor & Mayoress of Peterborough, Mayor and Mayoress of Stamford and Leader of Peterborough City Council amongst other invited guest and members of the Nene Valley Railway

The locomotive will be running at our “Pacific’s” event on 16th & 17th September as part of our two week 40th Steam Gala event

NVR proud to host rededication of Tornado.


The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust, the registered charity behind new steam locomotive No. 60163 Tornado, and the Royal Air Force are delighted to announce the affiliation of the locomotive with RAF Marham as part of the station’s centenary celebrations. To mark the affiliation, Tornado now carries the RAF Marham crest on the fireman’s side nameplate. RAF Marham is the home of the RAF’s Tornado GR4 two-seat, all-weather, day/night attack and reconnaissance aircraft.
