The Jolly Fisherman School Outing
Friday 3rd August

School’s out for summer, and everyone is invited to join staff and pupils for an end of term St Trinian’s themed evening on board a steam train complete with fish and chip supper.

The evening begins with Assembly at 6.30 pm sharp – latecomers will receive detention.  Head Mistress Miss Frinton will give an end of term speech, before a musical number is performed by the School Orchestra who have practised on and off (more off) for several days.

Everybody is then invited onto the steam train, where an ‘O’ Level Examination will take place, for which a prize will be awarded – as long as you can prove you didn’t cheat.  Teachers and pupils will mix with everybody on the train to help or hinder you with this task.

School dinners will be taken onboard at Bogchester Central and served by our very own staff and pupils as we head along the line.  Given the history of our young ladies, we recommend being very polite during meal service.

Throughout the evening a licenced buffet bar will be in operation – remember to bring your forged ID if you wish to purchase alcohol.
We expect all persons attending to be on their best behaviour at all times, as there is a good chance of a surprise OFSTED inspection taking place.
Fancy dress is highly recommended to become part of this fully inclusive evening.  Dig out your old school ties and blazers or tweed jacket with leather sleeve patches for that authentic geography teacher look.  Come along prepared for anything, and don’t forget to bring your homework.
School gates open at 6.00, with assembly starting at 6.30 prompt.  The train returns to Wansford at around 9 pm.

• Enjoy a drink from our on board bar while you have a good look at locomotive
• Traditional Fish & Chip supper as our train makes its way through the Nene Valley
• Guests will be seated at tables of four*
• Booking required to avoid disappointment.  Only £25.00 per person *(parties fewer than four may be seated with other guests).

Please note children must be over 12 years of age
