15th October 2011	Brake Van Launch It is with great pleasure that the Nene Valley Railway would like to announce the launch into traffic of Brake Van B953944 at Wansford Station on Saturday 15th October 2011 at 1pm. The Brake Van has been transformed from a no-hope chassis to a fully operational vehicle during a four year restoration which included fabrication of a brand new body and many other parts. The event will feature the formal launch, the Brake Van in operation between Wansford and Yarwell, an exhibition of the restoration story and a taste of what's next in the pipeline. It is believed that a restoration of this extent has never been undertaken before in preservation and the result is a vehicle completed to an extremely high standard which will serve the railway for many years to come. .
24th August 2011	Yarwell Station Ground Frame Work started towards the end of July on the Groundframe. This will allow locos to run round a shorter loop and also give the Railway operating flexibility in that spare stock can be stored at Yarwell without the need to resorting to top and tail engine working. Furthermore, this will also stop the need for shunting the spare coaches into the yard which blocks the view of our loco shed exhibits to the public. Work will hopefully be completed by the end of September.
26th July 2011	Steam Gala It is with great pleasure the NVR can formally announce the two visiting Steam Locomotives for the NVR Steam Gala on September 10th and 11th. .
