The station is situated right at the entrance to the Ferry Medows Country Park and is only a few minutes walk from the main centre of the Country Park, which offers acres of meadows, lakes and woods for walks together with a visitor centre, children's activity areas and a miniture railway. Lots of space for the children to run off that excess energy.

The station building was moved brick by brick from the old goods yard at Fletton Junction on the east Coast Main Line to Ferry Meadows where it was rebuilt to form the station building you see today.
