Nene Valley Railway is a registered education charity that has nearly 10 route miles of infrastructure to look after and improve. Our HQ is Wansford station on the A1 west of Peterborough, Our Hon. Civil Engineer Roger Manns is looking for graduates to give some of your time in exchange for valuable work experience. The extent of your input is flexible and to be agreed.

The railway currently has several interesting projects to offer design work, but predominantly site experience. These include design and contract installation of replacement river bridge bearings, detailed structures inspections, track geometry assessments, station building repairs, 10 year infrastructure forward plan, level crossing designs.
