Volunteer Assistant Education Officer

The Nene Valley Railway is currently expanding and developing its educational services to schools and requires a volunteer to assist the Education Officer in developing the packages that we can offer to schools and other educational establishments. The time required to undertake this role is entirely up to you. All you need is a forward looking enthusiastic approach and good communication skills. The small volunteer team will make you very welcome.

Carriage and Wagon Inspector

A carriage and wagon inspector is required from experienced candidates to carry out safety/technical inspection of carriages & wagons, identify defects and implement repairs. The ability to work on one’s own initiative is essential as is previous railway operating experience.

For both positions a salary commensurate with experience will be paid together with a contributory pension scheme will cover a 40hr week (to include one weekend day) with 4 weeks annual holiday.
